Tarrah Callahan is the Founder and Executive Director of Conservatives for Criminal Justice Reform. Tarrah serves on the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, Governor's Task Force for Race and Criminal Justice, North Carolina Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities and works with the SBI’s Center for the Reduction of Law Enforcement Use of Force. She has testified before a plethora of commissions and committees including the United States Commission on Civil Rights, North Carolina General Statutes Committee and the North Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee. She is an active member on a number of criminal justice coalitions as well. Prior to founding CCJR, she was involved in nonprofit advocacy in North Carolina for over 10 years.

April Parker is the Deputy Director for Conservatives for Criminal Justice Reform. Before joining CCJR, she worked on multiple campaigns that empowered the conservative voice, including one that successfully amended the North Carolina Constitution. She is currently active on a number of criminal justice coalitions. She graduated with a Master’s in Liberal Arts in Extension Studies, with a concentration in Government, from Harvard University. Before enrolling in graduate school, she attended North Carolina State University where she earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science. April is passionate about inspiring change in the criminal justice system and utilizes her work and academic experience to cultivate innovative ideas and educate others on criminal justice policy.
